Before becoming a full-time word wrangler in 2018, I worked in public relations and strategic communications.

 

Thanks to this past life, I’ve developed a special blend of strategic thinking and creativity. 

 

    Now, with 20 years’ writing experience (and many million words) under my belt, I use my genuine love for storytelling to help businesses reach their people through strategy-infused, jaw-droppy copy.

I like to work with purpose-driven brands who do good in the world. Those that enrich the lives of their customers and empower them to make decisions on their own terms.

 

No dodgy persuasion techniques. No pushy sales tactics. And no prying on fears or shaming. 

 

Because, well, I kinda like my sleep.

MORE EXTRA, LESS ORDINARY

A born creative and 110-percenter, I’m always looking for ways to add a dash of extra to the ordinary  to create something a wee bit special.

​Forget cookie-cutter copy. I bring fresh and creative thinking to every project with words that are a bold not blah.

 

I especially adore writing for brands with big personalities who are open to fresh ways of expressing their value.

I’m big on happy working relationships and values like transparency, honesty and fairness. And I prefer working with people whose values align with mine.

 

Plus, I chose this career because it’s fun and fun. And I want your experience with me to be the same.

 

What I’m really trying to say is: I want you happy dancing yourself silly when we’re done. Not rocking in a corner like a toddler who’s recovering from a toast-cut-into-squares-when-they-wanted-triangles situation.

I get how risky it can feel handing the voice of your business over to an outsider. How the fruit cake will she turn my mumbo jumbo into words I can be proud of? 

 

Well, firstly I listen. I mean really listen, so that I get what you need. I research. I strategise. And I do all that before getting my creative word wand out. That way we both know my words will speak to the right people in the right way.
