The busy Sport Waikato communications team had loads of good news stories to tell but no time to write.

They needed a freelance writer with a background in PR and experience writing news stories and media releases who could quickly grasp how the organisation worked and had a good news sense.

That was me.

Having written hundreds of newsletters and media releases as a PR professional in a past life, I understood what they needed, and soon became an extension of the team, tapping out all sorts of news stories and other pieces of digital content - 30+ stories to be exact.
