UPSIDEDOWNS
Impact messaging + member emails

UpsideDowns helps children with Down syndrome access life-changing speech and language therapy by providing funding support to families across New Zealand.

“Hannah’s an excellent writer but just as importantly, she comes at projects from a strategic lens, taking the time to really understand our goals, audience and voice.”
Michael Raynes | Board member, Upside Downs Education Trust
SHARPENING THE MESSAGE
UpsideDowns was preparing to shape parts of its communications around one central idea: It takes a village to support a child and their whānau.
They needed fresh copy to bring that message into two important stages of the member and supporter journey.
1. New member email sequence
For families who need clear, practical information during what can sometimes be an emotional or overwhelming time.
2. Impact page
A brand-new impact page, designed to show supporters the difference their funding makes to the lives of children and whānau.

SHIFTING THE TONE
We worked together to get to the heart of what UpsideDowns wanted to achieve and the significance behind the village message.
For the impact page, that meant bringing together outcomes, programme achievements and human stories to show the true value of the work.
With the email sequence, it meant reducing friction, building trust and helping families feel supported from the first touchpoint.
The result is a refreshed suite of communications that gives UpsideDowns a warmer way to guide families, connect with supporters and express the impact of its work.
“Working with Hannah is refreshingly straightforward. She’s organised, creative and collaborative, and it’s obvious she cares about the impact of her work.”
